Spring has arrived, bringing with it so many fresh ingredients that are excellent for creating lighter and flavorful meals.

Louise and I have narrowed it down to these 25 recipes (plus desserts) we’re excited to share. For more spring inspiration see our easter dinner ideas and quick pasta recipes.

Spring recipes we cook again and again

When spring arrives to our town in Italy (that is, the cherry trees start to bloom and the birds sing cheerfully) we find ourselves cooking the same spring recipes.

So, Louise and I have put together a recipe playlist with our greatest hits 😋. You can find fresh dishes perfect for the season, AND for quick dinners.

We love incorporating seasonal produce into everything from crisp raw carrot salad to golden, flaky cherry tomato galette.

We tend to cook easy pasta recipes on repeat, such as lemon ricotta spring pasta, with quick sauces and the ease of a one-pot meal.

And, as the cherry on top, no spring menu would be complete without light and airy desserts (find these at the very end of the list).

Enjoy, and let me know if any of your spring recipes are missing on this list!

  1. Love your recipes! The last one I made for my husband and I was the chocolate banana bread (more like cake?) It was spectacular and quite easy to do.
    Keep them coming!

    1. Amazing, Tania!! Oh yes, the chocolate banana bread is certainly more of a cake. But we like to categorize it as a bread (we eat it for breakfast on weekends, so it makes us feel less guilty) 😛.

Thank you for your kind feedback, and all the best to you and your husband ❤️.

      Best,

      Louise

  2. Hi I’m glad I subscribe To your blog. I’m a vegetarian and very interested in Mediterranean vegetarian food. I think you are very good in putting a meal together. By the way Vestergaard is a Dutch name. We are Dutch, Gesterkamp. Keep up the good work.
