Learn how to make mouthwatering homemade hummus with simple ingredients; from canned and dry chickpeas.

STEP 1: Drain the canned chickpeas and boil them in a small pot for 15 minutes.

STEP 2: Rub the chickpeas between your hands to separate their skin

STEP 3: Discard the skins. You don't have to discard all of them, just the ones that come off quickly.

STEP 4: Cut the garlic in half lengthwise and remove its core to make it more digestible.

STEP 5: Add all ingredients to a food processor or a blender.

STEP 6: Blend until you reach your desired consistency, add water if necessary.

Transfer into a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil and chopped flat-leaf parsley.

A perfect dip, and side dish! 

SERVE with bread, tabbouleh, grilled veggies.
