Baked pears are an easy yet elegant sweet and tender dessert that only requires four ingredients and 30 minutes in the oven.

FIRST: Get your ingredients ready.

STEP 1: Wash and cut the pears in half lengthwise, then scoop out the seeds.

STEP 2: I prefer to use a measuring spoon for scooping out seeds.

STEP Optionally, you can cut off a sliver on the other end so they sit upright.

STEP 4: Place the pears on the baking dish, with the cut side facing upward.

STEP 5: Fill with pecan or walnuts. Drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350°F or 180°C, take out, cool down for 5 to 10 minutes, and serve.

Optionally, serve with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or with greek-style yogurt.
