Candied Walnuts

line a baking tray (or a cooling rack if you have one) with a sheet of parchment paper. Also, prepare 2 forks

In a pot, on low heat, add the sugar and a pinch of salt.

Let the sugar melt on low heat. It should take about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the sugar from burning, especially on the edges of the pot.

ADD WALNUTS When the sugar has completely melted, add the walnuts, and stir, trying to coat the walnuts in the sugar. This should take you about 1 minute.

Transfer the walnuts onto the baking tray that you prepared before, and with the forks, separate the walnuts from one another.

Let the candied walnuts cool down completely before using them in salads or as a snack.

Store in an airtight container in a dry corner of your kitchen for up to 1 month. Do not refrigerate.

Candied walnuts are  delicious. You'll only need 3 ingredients to make them: walnut, sugar, and a pinch of salt. They are perfect to add to a salad or to eat as a sweet treat.

Buon appetito!
