Baked pears

– 3-4 pears – ½ cup pecan or walnuts – maple syrup or agave syrup –  cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C. Wash and cut the pears in half on the long side. Try to preserve the steam as it looks really pretty when baked.

With a teaspoon scoop out the seeds. Place the pears on the baking dish, with the cut side facing upward.

spinkle a thin layer of cinnamon on each pear.

prep nuts and chop into chunky bits. I prefer pecan nuts, but you can also use walnuts.

stuff each pear fully with nuts

syrup

drizzle with agave or maple syrup. Adjust according to your dietary needs here.

bake

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350F or 180C, then take out let cool down for 5 to 10 minutes, and serve.

check doneness with a knife - they need to be super soft

Eat

Best part -eat with a scoop of ice cream or on yoghurt.

store

Store baked pears in the refrigerator, in an airtight container for up to 3 days. They are not suitable for freezing.
